Enrico Renz is a Burnaby singer/songwriter who plays guitar, bass, keyboards and drums. A founding member of Red Herring, the Vancouver art rock band, he also enjoys backing up singers, spoken word artists and improvisational dancers on guitar. Enrico has released a cd titled Skytrain as part of Secret Messengers, and he co-hosts a weekly Songwriters Open Mic in New Westminster. About his relationship to music, he says, ‘I see myself more as a song gardener than a song builder. The work lies in tending the song.’ Enrico’s country of origin is Switzerland, with Italian and Swiss-German as his mother languages.
