Phinder Dulai is the Surrey-based author of dream / arteries (Talonbooks) and two previous books of poetry: Ragas from the Periphery (Arsenal Pulp Press, 1995) and Basmati Brown (Nightwood Editions, 2000). His most recent work is published in Canadian Literature, Cue Books Anthology, and in Canada and Beyond, a Canadian Studies journal published in Vigo and Huelva, Spain. His earlier work appeared in Ankur, Matrix, Memewar Magazine, Rungh, the Capilano Review, Canadian Ethnic Studies, Toronto South Asian Review, subTerrain, and West Coast LINE.
Phinder is a co-founder of Surrey-based interdisciplinary contemporary arts group The South of Fraser Inter Arts Collective (SOFIA/c). He was the poetry editor for South Asian quarterly, Ankur, and later a Literary Advisor to Surrey Muse. Phinder works as a program manager in the British Columbia government, and lives in Surrey with his beautiful family.
At the February 27 gathering of Surrey Muse, Phinder will present a selection from his published and unpublished poetry.
