Valerie Parks – Surrey Muse

Valerie Parks has published three collections of poetry, and her articles and poems have appeared in various journals and anthologies. Her title ‘Wisdom of a Thousand Fools’ (Silver Bow Publishing, 2011) has earned her much praise. Earlier, Val had published ‘Pathways’, and her first title is a chapbook about New Westminster, ‘Walking Along the Quay’ that contains her poems, drawings and photos. Val served as a long time leading member of New West Writers, a critique group based in New Westminster that has published four anthologies of writings of it’s members, and Valerie’s poems appear in three of them including in ‘Saving Seeds’ where Val’s poetry begins the collection.
