Dennis E. Bolen – Surrey Muse

Dennis E. Bolen is a celebrated author, arts advocate and teacher.

In a writing career spanning three decades he has published five novels and two collections of short fiction, most recent being Anticipated Results (linked short fiction, Arsenal Pulp Press, Vancouver 2011) and Kaspoit! (novel, Anvil Press, Vancouver 2009). As well, in 2013 he published Black Liquor (Caitlin Press), his first book of poems.

Dennis worked as an editor for sub-TERRAIN magazine, a publication he helped establish in 1989; as part-time editorial writer for The Vancouver Sun, a freelance literature critic for numerous publications, and an enthusiastic booster of several poetry reading series in Vancouver. In all roles, he is known for his creative contributions and arts advocacy.
