Yilin Wang is a fiction writer, poet and editor who has been published in various literary journals and anthologies including The Best of Abyss & Apex Vol.2, and, Grain, Contemporary Verse 2, Room, LooseLeaf Magazine, The Tyee, and Business Insider. Her short story ‘Drifters’ was a finalist in The Malahat Review’s Far Horizons Award for Short Fiction in 2018. Yilin is a Creative Writing MFA candidate at UBC, and she serves as a programming committee member for Growing Room: A Feminist Literary Festival. She was the assistant editor for two issues of Room ‘Let’s Make Contact’ (40.4) and ‘Magic’ (42.1). She is an experienced tutor and educator of literary arts, a content strategist, and a Chinese-English translator. At this time, Yilin is working on a fantasy novel inspired by Chinese martial arts legends, and she is writing a collection of short stories about travel and displacement. Now in Vancouver, Yilin has lived in China, the U.S., Scotland, and Canada.
