Barnali Ray Shukla is a writer, filmmaker and a poet. She is the writer and director of a feature film (‘Kucch Luv Jaisaa’: Something Like Love) a short film (‘Miss Shoe Bra Negi’), and three documentaries (‘Liquid Borders’, ‘Once Upon A Sky’, ‘All Is Well’). She has published a book of her poems titled Apostrophe (RLFPA 2016). Her poetry and creative non-fiction have appeared in various publications and anthologies in India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, USA and UK. Barnali lives in Mumbai with her plants, books and a husband. At this time, she is working on the post production of her new Hindi feature film as she counts down to her tenth trek in the Himalayas this April.
