Call for Submissions – Surrey Muse Open Mic Session June 2020

Surrey Muse Arts society (SMAS) is delighted to invite authors, poets, performers, painters, artists to participate in the Open Mic session of the June 26 virtual gathering of Surrey Muse.

Your contribution will be added to the pre-recorded Program Video of the Fourth Virtual Gathering of Surrey Muse. View earlier program videos on YouTube:

The Gathering will happen on June 26, 5:30-7:30 PM (PT) where the Program video will be released in a LIVE Watch Party on Facebook at:

Submissions
Send us a 3-5 minute video (mp4, mov), audio (mp3, wav, aiff), or text file (any doc, 12pt Times New Roman) featuring your work. Add a 50-word introduction of yourself, and a link to your website or blog.

Genre
Surrey Muse Open Mic presents art in any form. Send us poems, stories, memoir, creative prose; songs, instrumentals; a tour of your paintings, sculptures, ceramics; short films, monologues, skits, or any other form of your art.

Language
The language of expression at Surrey Muse is English but you are welcome to present in another language. if so, please add the English translation of the work.

The program video for May 22, 2020 virtual gathering of Surrey Muse is now available online at youTube, facebook, and on Surrey Muse webpage.

The video features presentations made by Author Cynthia Sharp, Poet Joanna Lilley, Performer Haytham Alhamaydeh, and Open Mic Opener Poet (SheLa) Nefertiti Morrison. Poet Heidi Greco, and Musicians Carine de Kinsame, & Enternet boy w. INRGD presented on the Open Mic. Featured art on poster by Jean-Léon Gérôme (1824-1904).

Mariam Zohra D., Art Director and the President of Surrey Muse, hosted the show and created the program video from prerecorded videos sent by the featured presenters.

Our next program will happen on June 26, 2020 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM(PT) on Surrey Muse Facebook page.
