In the first gathering of Surrey Muse. Guest Author Susan Crean presented readings from her published and unpublished work. Featured Poet Manolis presented poems from his latest collection titled ‘Vortex’ (Libros Libertad 2011). Featured Playwright Sana Janjua presented a stunning monologue on the abuse of a younbg woman. The event was hosted by Valerie B.-Taylor. Ajmer Rode, Mariam Zohra-Durrani, Yuri and Valerie B.-Taylor presented poems on Open mic.
Surrey Muse gatherings take place
on the unceded Coast Salish territories of the Katzie,
Kwantlen, Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.
