Margo Prentice – Surrey Muse

Margo Prentice is a writer of short stories and poems, stage plays and standup comic scripts. She established Golden Age Theatre that ran successfully for 15 years. Her play ‘Women and Escorts Only’ was performed at the Firehall Arts Centre, and her most recent play ‘Mother’s Day’ is being considered by Vancouver Fringe Festival. Margo’s short stories have been published in Canadian Magazine, Vancouver Sun and Royal City Literary Arts on-line magazine, and her poems have appeared in anthologies locally and in Ontario. She performs as a stand-up comic at local comedy venues including Yuks Yuks, Lafflines, Rosedale Pub and Corky’s. She has also done comedy shows in Mexico and Europe. Margo runs Short Story Open Mic in New Westminster, and she is in the process of editing and organizing materials for a book-length work.

Margo considers herself ‘the oldest comic standing’.

dn simmers is a poet and editor who has participated in various solo and collaborative publications and presentations. He is an on line special editor with Fine Lines, and an active member of Thursday Writing Collectve. His chapbooks and books of poems have been longlisted in various poetry contests in the United States, and his work has appeared in numerous anthologies including Voice to Voice, Voice Israel 2015, and Advocet-Rockford Review. Some of his poems can be viewed in Nerve Cowboy, Westward Quarterly, Poetry Salzburg Review, Common Ground Review, riverbabble, Wilderness House Literary Review and Whispers. He was in Van Gogh’s Ear, Paris France.

Kevin J. Taylor – Surrey Muse

Kevin Taylor is a Surrey-based author and poet who has just launched the fourth collection of his poetry, ‘Poems for Relationships’. His other titles include Souls Arriving, Between Music and Dance, and White Imbongi. He has also published Seize the Stage, a book on creating poetry, and Ka-BOOM! A Dictionary of Comic Book Words, Symbols & Onomatopoeia. Ka-BOOM! is used as reference material in several college linguistics programs, and was reviewed by TIME Digital and used by West Virginia Department of Education in partnership with IBM Reinventing Education Project. His poems have been published in various journals and ezines including Poetry Canada and Galaxy. Kevin’s first poem was published in 1973 in Sand Patterns Magazine in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
