Nathan Adler – Surrey Muse

Nathan Adler is a writer, artist and filmmaker who has published ‘Wrist’, a novel, and ‘Ghost Lake’, a collection of short fiction, both with Kegedonce Press. Nathan is a first-place winner of the Aboriginal Writing Challenge, and the recipient of a Hnatyshyn Reveal award for literature. He has co-edited ‘Bawaajigan: Stories of Power’ (Exile Editions), and, his work is published in various periodicals and anthologies including Redwire, Canada’s History, Shtetl, Kimiwan, Shameless, Prairie Fire/CV2, and Event; and, ‘Food of my People’, ‘The Playground of Lost Toys’, ‘Those Who Make Us: Canadian Creature Myth and Monster Stories’, ‘Love Beyond Body Space and Time’, and ‘Love After the End: Two-Spirit Utopias & Dystopias’. Nathan has an MFA in Creative Writing from UBC, a BFA in Integrated Media from OCAD, and a BA in English Literature and Native Studies from Trent University. Nathan is Jewish, and Anishinaabe, Two Spirit, and a member of Lac Des Mille Lacs First Nation.
