Call for Submissions – Surrey Muse Open Mic

To participate in a Surrey Muse Open Mic session, arrive at the City Centre branch of Surrey Libraries 10 minutes ahead of time, and add your name to the Open Mic Presentations List located at the reception table of Room 418 (and Room 405 in February 2023). Each presenter gets 3-5 minutes to present their poetry, fiction, nonfiction, music and visual art. You can only present your own work.

Out of town presenters are welcome to send a 3-5 minute audio or video recording of their work before the 15th of a month. It’ll be viewed at the gathering.

Both in-person and recorded presentations will be included in the Program Video that will be recorded during the tn-person event, and it’ll later be added to Surrey Muse channel on YouTube.

Guidelines
Send : An original audio or video recording of your own creative work.
Duration : 3-5 minutes
Dateline : Before the 15th of each Month
Also : Add your name, web page, and title of your work/s to your email message.
How : Attach your audio or video file to your email message with Subject Line ‘Open Mic Submission: Month/Year’ (‘Jan 2023’), and send it to the two email addresses below:

Each gathering features five guest presenters, an author, a poet, an artist/performer, and two across genre emerging artists. The Open Mic Session happens at the end of the program. More about the gatherings:
