Ashok Bhargava – Surrey Muse

Ashok Bhargava is a poet and an arts activist who has published six collections of poems including his latest ‘Riding The Tide’ that he has published on surviving cancer. Writing both in English and Hindi, Ashok has published Mirror of Dreams, A Kernel of Truth, Skipping Stones, Half Open Door and Lost in the Morning Calm. He is the founder of Writers International Network Canada (WIN Canada), an organization that recognizes writers, poets and artists of diverse backgrounds and genre on yearly basis. ‘Its main objective is to inspire, encourage, promote and recognize new and established writers, poets and artists in a multicultural and multilingual environment.’ Ashok also volunteers for various socio-cultural, literary and charitable organizations. He has been an honored guest to literary conferences in Turkey, Italy, India, South Korea and the Philippines. He is the recipient of Poet Ambassador Award, Poets without Borders Peace Award, Legendary Poet Kalidasa International Award, Nehru Humanitarian Award, Pandora Collective’s Good Citizen Award, and Nehemiah Leadership Award.
