Peter Daniels – Surrey Muse


Peter Daniels is a painter, an art teacher and an actor who graduated in fine art from Nelson’s Notre Dame University in 1974. He has taught art workshops in different cities of British Columbia, and art classes to grades 8-12 at St. Michael’s University School in Victoria, and later, at Matsqui Correctional Institution in Abbotsford. He also operated a private studio in Surrey between 1981 to 1997; published, distributed and exhibited fine art prints; designed exhibitions and commissioned art during 2004 to 2016. As well, he acts and writes for films. His exhibitions and gallery presentations include Habitat Vancouver (1977), Pre Expo 86 Vancouver (1985), Agora Gallery, Manhattan NY (1997), Long Beach Art Show, Long Beach CA (1997), Winter Olympics, Vancouver (2010), The Vancouver Art Gallery (1981), The Victoria Art Gallery (1981), Gallery on the Lake, Buckhorn ON (1993), The Rubicorn Calgary, Alberta (1993) and Leavensworth and Lynwood Galleries in Washington (1993). Peter was nominated for the Bronfman in Canada in 1999. Since 2000, he works out of his studio in Surrey organizing open houses offline and online to sell his art direct to the public.

Ibrahim Honjo – Surrey Muse

Ibrahim Honjo is a poet-writer, sculptor, painter, photographer, and property manager who writes in his native Serbo-Croatian language and in English. He is the author of 25 published books and a co-author of one. His work is published in more than 20 anthologies. He has received several prizes for his poetry, and his poems have been translated into Italian, Spanish, Korean, Slovenian, Bahasa Malaysia, Mongolian and German. His work has appeared in various magazines, newspapers, and on radio stations in Canada, USA, and, former Yugoslavia where he worked as an economist, journalist, book editor, marketing director, and organizer of poetry events and festivals. Ibrahim was born in 1948 in the former Yugoslavia, and he has lived in Canada since 1995.

Ashok Bhargava – Surrey Muse

Ashok Bhargava is a poet and an arts activist who has published six collections of poems including his latest ‘Riding The Tide’ that he has published on surviving cancer. Writing both in English and Hindi, Ashok has published Mirror of Dreams, A Kernel of Truth, Skipping Stones, Half Open Door and Lost in the Morning Calm. He is the founder of Writers International Network Canada (WIN Canada), an organization that recognizes writers, poets and artists of diverse backgrounds and genre on yearly basis. ‘Its main objective is to inspire, encourage, promote and recognize new and established writers, poets and artists in a multicultural and multilingual environment.’ Ashok also volunteers for various socio-cultural, literary and charitable organizations. He has been an honored guest to literary conferences in Turkey, Italy, India, South Korea and the Philippines. He is the recipient of Poet Ambassador Award, Poets without Borders Peace Award, Legendary Poet Kalidasa International Award, Nehru Humanitarian Award, Pandora Collective’s Good Citizen Award, and Nehemiah Leadership Award.
