Celeste Snowber is a dancer, writer, poet and award-winning educator. She has performed and spoken internationally for concert venues, galleries, museums, conferences, and in various outdoor spaces. The essence of her performative work is site-specific performance and complete one-woman-shows that integrate comedy, contemporary dance and improvisation and how one lives a juicy life amidst complexities and wonder. Celeste creates performances of dance and poetry in the natural world and can often be found dancing between the land and sea. She is the author of ‘Embodied inquiry: Writing, living and being through the body‘, and she has published three collections of poetry where the latest titled ‘The marrow of longing‘, explores her relationship to Armenian identity and it is forthcoming in 2021. Celeste is a Professor in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University.
