Mehtab Purewal – Surrey Muse

Mehtab Purewal is a second-generation settler Indian Canadian who writes and resides in Surrey, BC, predominantly writing short stories and creative non-fiction. Both her creative and academic interests are focused on representing the multifaceted lives of women in the South Asian diaspora by drawing on her own lived and felt experiences as the daughter of Indian immigrants.

Angel-Clare Linton – Surrey Muse

Angel-Clare Linton is a poet, writer, editor, publisher, and the founder of Spray Paint Magazine. She also graduated from Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing, where she was also the previous co-president of the Kwantlen Creative Writing Guild and the poetry editor of the school’s magazine, pulp MAG. She is also Surrey Muse’s Web Content Editor and the social media coordinator and web editor at Delta Literary Arts Society, where she previously read at their 2023 Unbound Poetry Festival and their 2024 COMPOSED Festival of Poetry and Writing.

Trisia Eddy Woods – Surrey Muse

Trisia Eddy Woods is a poet and a visual artist who grew up spending summers on horseback exploring both Alberta and Manitoba, and she currently lives in Edmonton / amiskwaciywâskahikan with her family, which includes an array of four-legged companions. Her artwork has been exhibited both close to home and internationally and is held in the special collection of the Herron Art Library. A former editor for Red Nettle Press, Trisia’s writing has appeared widely in literary journals and chapbooks across North America, including Contemporary Verse 2, The Garneau Review, and New American Writing. Her full-length collection, ‘A Road Map for Finding Wild Horses’, was released in Spring 2024 with Turnstone Press.

Natalie Virginia Lang – Surrey Muse

Natalie Virginia Lang is an educator and writer living on Sumas Mountain in Abbotsford, B.C., the territory of the Stó:lō Nation. Lang holds a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Simon Fraser University, where she won multiple awards, including the Jean-Jacques Rousseau Award, the Julie Andreyev-Animal Lover Scholarship, the Ewan Clark Memorial Award, and a Graduate Fellowship. She also has an Education degree from Simon Fraser University and a degree in Literature and Anthropology from the University of the Fraser Valley. Her first book, Remnants: Reveries of a Mountain Dweller, was featured at the Victoria Festival of Authors in 2023. Lang’s work has also appeared in The BC Review (formerly the Ormsby Review).
